District Governor Elect Steve was born and spent his childhood years in Winthrop, MA and graduated from Winthrop High School. Using his military background (a Marine Viet Nam veteran), along with the knowledge and experience gained over 32 years in law enforcement having served as a police officer, a Federal Special Agent with the CID and retiring as a District Commander and The New England Chief of the Conrail Police Department, Steve established the American Bureau of Investigation and is a tax practitioner. Over the years, Steve has been on the board or a member of the Licensed Private Detectives Association of Massachusetts, Charter Member of the United States Association of Professional Investigators, New England Council of State Investigators, the National Council of Investigation and Security Services, along with the New England Chiefs of Police Association, and a retired member of the Massachusetts Police Association. Steve is also a proud member of the Marine Corps Association and the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation. He attended Northeastern University, Penn State University and graduated from numerous police academies and has instructed many supervisory, command and management courses in the field of law enforcement.
Steve joined the Rotary Club of North Reading in 2003 and was immediately appointed to the board of directors, serving as president in 2006-07 and has been the club secretary since that date. He has completed the Rotary Leadership Institute training, and has served as an assistant governor and assistant governor coordinator. He was awarded the Governors Citation for District 7930 and a District Service Award along with being a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and is a member of the Paul Harris Society.
