District 7930 - District Governor 2011-12

Swami was Born and raised in Madras (Chennai), India. As a Physician Swami worked for the John Hancock Insurance Company for many years and is currently Semi-Retired. Swami joined the Rotary Club of Belmont in 1986 and served as Club President in 1991-1992. Swami has also served on the Board of Directors of the Belmont club for many years and has been involved in all of the clubs fund raising and club activities as well as the clubs community and international projects, and continues to be a very active member. On the District level Swami served as the 2007 Outbound Group Study Exchange (GSE) Team Leader to India, and has served as a member of the GSE selection committee since 2007. Swami has also served on the Ambassadorial Scholarship Selection Committee and has participated and supported many of District events. Swami is a multiple Paul Harris Fellowship recipient.

Swami’s other activities include past member/chairman of the Council on Aging Belmont. He is also a member of Mass Medical Society and hold Degrees including MBBS from India and MPH from Boston University
