Tom Elliott
Rotary Club of Danvers

Tom joined the Rotary Club of Danvers, MA in 1990. He was elected President of the Danvers Rotary Club in 1996-97. Tom has also served on the Danvers Rotary Club Scholarship Committee for the last thirteen years and served as Co-Chairman of the Mark Regan Golf Tournament for 11 years. As president of the Danvers Rotary club, Tom organized “The Circle of Gold” raising $25,000.00 for the Rotary Foundation with the support of club member donations. Tom is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow. As chairman of the 75th Anniversary Danvers Rotary Pavilion Committee which under Tom’s leadership, the committee raised over $175,000.00 to design, erect and dedicate a pavilion on the banks of the Mill Pond, on the grounds of Danvers’ Peabody Institute Library in commemoration of the clubs 75th anniversary.
On the district level, Tom has co-chaired the district conferences of PDG John Hooper and PDG Eugene Hastings. He has served on the District 7930 Group Study Exchange Selection Committee for the out going team leaders and team members for 2004-05, 2005-06 and 2006-07. Tom has been Chairman of the District 7930 Golf Tournament in 2004-05, and 2005-06. He has served as Assistant Governor from 2004-2007, and also as a facilitator at the 2006-07 PETS.
Since 1996, Tom has served on the Board of Directors of the Danvers Community YMCA, and will serve as President of the Board of Directors in 2010-2012.
Tom was raised in Danvers and Peabody MA. graduated from Peabody Vocational Technical High
School in 1970, and attended Fitchburg State College. He has lived in Danvers since 1978.
Tom founded Danvers Auto Engineering, Automotive Repair and Service Center in 1987 with his wife and business partner Carole Elliott. Prior to 1987, Tom worked in the automotive industry, and was a teacher at the Peabody Vocational High School, from 1975-1987.Tom enjoys golf as a member of Salem CC, and traveling the world with his wife Carole
