Wilfred (Wilf) J. Wilkerson

Wilf Wilkkerson, FCA, has been a chartered accountant since 1958. He married Joan Hogan in 1953 and they have four sons. In 1961 he moved to Trenton, Ontario to establish an office for the practice of public accountancy.
Wilkinson was a founding partner of Wilkinson & Company, Chartered Accountants. In 1994, he was granted the appellation CFE by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, based in Austin, Texas. He is a Past Treasurer of both the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and has served as President of the Public Accountants Council for the Province of Ontario.
Mr. Wilkinson was the founding Chairman of the Belleville Cheshire Home for Physically Handicapped Adults. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Loyalist College and as President of the District Council of the Boy Scouts of Canada.
After retiring from the practice of public accounting in February 2000, Wilf accepted a position as part-time Executive Director of the Quinte Ballet School of Canada.
He is Also a member of the Board of Directors of Morris Industries Ltd. a company that manufactures advanced air seeding and tillage systems.
A Rotarian since 1962, he was a Health, Hunger, and Humanity Program volunteer to India and has visited that country for Rotary on seven occasions. He has also had Rotary assignments in Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Namibia and Pakistan as well as the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and New Zealand and many parts of the United States and Canada. He served on numerous district and international committees as well as chairing several conferences including the 100th Anniversary Convention in Chicago. In 1997 he participated at the National Immunization Days in Kenya and Tanzania, in 1999 in the slums of New Delhi, India and in March 2002 administered polio drops to children of Afghan refugees in Pakistan as part of the Pakistan Afghan Refugee Project of 2001-2004.
Wilf served as District Governor in 1971-1972; Director of Rotary International 1992-1994; Vice President of Rotary International 1993-1994; Member of the International PolioPlus Committee 1998-01; and trustee of The Rotary Foundation 1997-2001 & 2002-03.
