Eamon Wheeler, a 17 year-old junior at Rockport High School, was inducted into the Rotary Club of Rockport on February 1, 2018. Eamon is the youngest member of Rockport Rotary, District 7930, Zone 32, and perhaps Rotary International. He is a 4th generation Rotarian, following his great grandfather, Marshall Swan; his grandmother, Past District Governor Ingrid Brown; and his mother, Laurel Wheeler, into the Rockport Rotary Club.Eamon was a charter member of the Rockport Elementary School EarlyAct Club, and finding it difficult to launch an Interact Club at Rockport High, he joined Rockport Rotary as a Service Member. Eamon has participated in club meetings, projects and fundraisers, the Polar Plunge and District Conferences, and plans to carry his love of Service Above Self forward to college after high school graduation in 2019. He is a dedicated and committed young man who is working to get others to follow his lead and join a Rotary club, to impact membership by bringing in new ideas and vitality and Making a Difference in the World.
