In honor of Rotary’s Year of the Girl, the Rotary Club of Cambridge partnered with local nonprofit Science Club for Girls. The organization’s mission fits squarely with Rotary’s areas of focus: “At Science Club for Girls, we believe in long-term investment in a girl's STEM education. We know this is the only way to address the systemic, root causes of the lack of diversity in STEM and move the needle towards a more equitable, diverse, and innovative STEM ecosystem. The trajectories of our alumni show the impact of this investment, and we all, as a society, reap the benefits.” In addition to volunteering with Science for Club for Girls to assist with their inventory review for next school year, with monies from our District Grant, our Club purchased much needed desks, computer stand and other supplies for their new office space.
