Karaoke 4 Charity with Boston Rotaract

 

Join Boston Rotaract for a fun and philanthropic night at Hong Kong!

 

Come sing/eat/drink/socialize at Hong Kong in Faneuil Hall to raise money! All proceeds will go to funding scholarships for Found in Translation (FiT), an organization that trains disadvantaged bilingual women to become medical interpreters. The cost to fund one Language Access Fellow is $1,000 -- help us fund TWO fellows this year!

 

A $10 ticket gets you entry into the event and apps! You can purchase your ticket in advance via Eventbrite or pay cash/Venmo at the door. Be sure to order one of our signature drinks and a portion of the proceeds will go toward our benefit night.

 

Found in Translation helps bilingual women overcome homelessness and poverty by capitalizing on their language skills to become professional medical interpreters, a career with 42.2% job growth predicted by 2020 and $45,430 median annual wage.

 

Through Found in Translation's workforce development program, women earn a Medical Interpreting Certificate, develop job skills and financial literacy, and receive job placement assistance upon completing the training.
