On June 11th the Parkway Rotary Club battled the Kiwanis Club of Roslinday/West Roxbury to raise funds in support of the Jason Roberts Challenger League, a baseball league for youths with learning and physical disabilities.

The Challenger players played the opening game with the Rotary-Kiwanis game following.  Both teams were packed with ringers including several Buddies to the Challenger players.  The games were held at the Ohrenberger School in West Roxbury.  Volunteers provided a cookout dinner for the youth players and attendees.

On hand to support the event were our own District Governor Tom Hankard along with the Kiwanis Governor Kristin Holden.  The funds raised from both organizations were designated to the Jason Roberts League.

Special acknowledgment to Parkway President and team manager Ray Fitzgerald for organizing and gathering up the players.
