The rain gods held off on September 23, enabling members of the Marblehead Harbor Rotary to volunteer with SPUR and Sustainable Marblehead for an area beach and parks cleanup. The Marblehead Harbor contingent was assigned a woodland trail area with adjoining harbor side conservation land; and they collected a variety of items, including the usual empty cigarette boxes, nip bottles, paper and plastic bags, metal pieces and even one sneaker! We have found that partnering with local service organizations on volunteer projects improves our impact in the community.
