The Peabody Rotary Club and Granite Coast Brewing Company will host an online general knowledge trivia game on Thursday, September 24, to benefit the club’s local scholarship fund.

Teams of up to six players will use their preferred digital device to compete in several rounds of trivia from the comfort of their own home. Hosted by Crew Ryan of Captain Crew’s Question Cruise, participants will have the opportunity to discuss their answers with their teammates, even if they are not playing from the same physical location. Prizes and raffles will also be awarded.

All proceeds from the $10 per device registration and raffles will benefit the club’s annual scholarship fund for graduating high school seniors. Peabody Rotary President Tom Griffin explained, “The Rotary International Theme for 2020-21 is Rotary Opens Doors. Each year, Peabody Rotary awards a number of scholarships, and we hope to continue this tradition and theme despite the current global pandemic.”

Granite Coast Brewing Co-Owner Rob Dunn added, “This is our fourth online charity trivia game that we’ve hosted during the pandemic. It’s our way of contributing during a downturn in socialization and income. We can’t donate funds right now, but we can donate a fun way of fund raising for others.”

The September 24th event will begin at 8:00pm and participants are encouraged to log on about five minutes early to establish their teams and enter raffles.

Pre-registration is required and players must be 21+ to win. To pre-register for the online event, please visit www.rotarypeabody.org or email granitecoastevents@gmail.com.
