On Thursday, May 10, members of the Rockport Rotary Club presented four Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) to the town of Rockport. The event was held at the Rockport Police Department. The Rockport Health Department had approached the Rockport Rotary Club for the need of AED’s for four of their beaches (Front, Back, Old Garden & Long Beach). In the off season the AED’s will be deployed for use in other location within Rockport. The club came through with a grant for $5,540 to pay for these life-saving devices. The Rockport Public School students used a 3-D printer donated by the Rockport Rotary Club in 2015 to create plaques for each AED kit.
